MJS™ STABILIZED KNEE SYSTEM

Osteoimplant Technology, Inc.’s MJS™ Stabilized Knee System was designed to enhance durability, minimize polyethylene wear between all articulating surfaces and to minimize contact stress associated with wear in order to achieve a well balanced knee with normalized quadriceps and patellar tendon tension.

The MJS Knee system allows maximum surgical flexibility while incorporating features that improve implant stability, function and performance. Specific design features were established to provide an innovative approach yet provide maximum stability and minimal polyethylene wear. The modularity and flexibility of the MJS™ system provide a wide range of surgical options while its simplified instrumentation system allows for consistent and reproducible results.

FEMORAL COMPONENT
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
  • Femoral component is precision ground to provide uniform contact zones throughout the range of motion.
  • Designed with a congruent distal radius to optimize contact areas and reduce contact stress.
  • Unique anterior notch located at the condylar gap prior to the patella bearing surface.
  • Can be used both with a standard MJS™ tibial Baseplate as well as with the Total Condylar Tibial Baseplate.
  • Conserves bone stock due to small notch cut in distal femur.
  • A Larger, more congruent surface area distributes forces equally, minimizing wear and therefore decreasing the chance of osteolysis.
TIBIAL INSERT
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
  • Manufactured from the highest grade calcium stearate free UHMWPE.
  • The tibial insert was designed with a matching anterior peg and congruent bearing surface to provide posterior stabilization by preventing the sliding action of the femoral component against and forward of the tibial bearing surface.
