SERIES MODULAR HIP SYSTEMS
OTIs IMIN Series Modular Hip Systems were designed
to give the surgeon a greater ability to adjust offset, anteversion
and leg length which reapproximates correct biomechanical
alignment to ensure the minimal joint reaction force and the
correct stress transfer from the upper body to the femur through
the ankle.
By achieving the best femoral head orientation, there is
less stress on the acetabulum, less wear, and decreased chance
of dislocation and osteolysis. The modularity of the IMIN
Series increases intraoperative versatility and reduces the
amount of implant inventory required for the surgical procedure.
The femoral stems and heads are manufactured from CoCrMo using
a proprietary process.
This material has a proven history of high fatigue strength,
outstanding biocompatibility and superior resistance to corrosion.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Fully porous coated stem with a polished bullet
distal tip.
- Coated with 3 layers of spherical beads with a mean
pore size of 145 microns, which has proven to be the
most effective for middle to distal femoral fixation.
- Available with or without Hydroxyapatite coating.
- Patented Star shaped indexing mechanism with a dual
morse type taper locks neck into place.
- 7 Sizes which can be used for either left or right
total hip replacement.
- 2 Proximal configurations allow good fit and fill
in the proximal femur
- Medial modified stem enhances proximal canal fill
medially and laterally.
- Porous coated collar provides excellent resistance
to subsidence and rotational forces of the hip. Collar
also helps to distribute stress to the proximal femur
and maintain the proximal cortical support for the
stem and creates an endosteal seal to inhibit the
migration of particulate wear debris.
